THE CONCEPT OF GOOD LEADER AMONG URBAN PEOPLE IN JAKARTA: AN INDIGENOUS PSYCHOLOGY ANALYSIS

Abstract:
This study identified the concept of good leader among urban people in Jakarta, Indonesia. Respondents of the study was 443 respondent. The data was analyzed using indigenous psychological approach. The result of this study showed that the concept of good leader among urban people where divided into 9 categories, such as firmness (23,93%), care (19,41%), mandate (16,25%), honest (12,64%), wise (7,67%), high moral standards (6,32%), become a model (5,24%), smart (2,26%), integrity (1,81%). Respondent categories suggests that respondents interpret a good leader with more emphasis on the context of affection and soft skills than hard skills or cognitive competence.
